Agora é que estão preocupados com a democracia? Com um assunto que nem sequer devia ser discutido quanto mais largado nas mãos de um povo burro e conservador? Caralho, pá. É só coisas para me enervar a toda a hora.
Those claiming the ocean has cooled the climate in the last 15 years, never acknowledge that the oceans might equally have been warming it in the 20 before that. There is no symmetry in this “science”.
My stepmother, by contrast, though going day after day without electricity, has had a lovely time stoking up the log fire, going to bed by candlelight and cooking her neighbours’ dinners with her gas stove. She didn’t care for television much anyway.
"You really deserve half of this. Do you want the bottom or the top?"
Michael Douglas, winner of the Emmy for Best Actor in a mini-series or movie for the Liberace biopic "Behind the Candelabra", to co-star Matt Damon, who played his lover.

Notorious megalomaniac Jennifer Lawrence sacks her driver during her apparently sozzled Vogue interview.

Everybody in the world falls instantly in love with class act Ronan Farrow for his awesomely funny tweet in response to his mother Mia’s Vanity Fair revelation that Woody Allen may not be Farrow’s biological father.
"Like, if there’s a spider. I try to kill it and I miss it. Great. Now it knows what I look like."
Jennifer Lawrence on her irrational fears.
You couldn’t make it up. A Russian “Antarctic research vessel” carrying not diligent scientific researchers but 74 taxpayer-funded climate extremists on a junket to help them make up headlines about sea ice melting because of “global warming” finds itself stuck in – er – sea ice. And sea ice in high summer at that. The extremists, as so often happens, had believed their own propaganda. They had believed Al Gore. They had believed, poor saps, that Antarctica was warming and melting. It isn’t.
Aside from the Antarctic Peninsula (just 2% of the continent), which has an anomalous climate, Antarctica has been cooling since satellite records began, and sea-ice extent there has been growing.

“Later, I would come to think of those first days as the time when we learned as a species that we had worried over the wrong things: the hole in the ozone layer, the melting of the ice caps, West Nile and swine flu and killer bees. But I guess it never is what you worry over that comes to pass in the end. The real catastrophes are always different—unimagined, unprepared for, unknown.”
― Karen Thompson Walker
(Devo dizer que tem sido uma desilusão este livro. Vou a meio, pelo que ainda tenho esperança de vir a valer a pena.)
